Use case · Same-day courier

Rush work, priced when it is booked and proven when it is dropped.

On-demand jobs across a metro area: orders arrive all day, the price depends on the service, the weight and the distance, and the customer wants to know where the driver is.

Live map: 24 active vehicles, 3 delayed, the selected truck with its next stop, ETA and delay, and every vehicle on a map of New York
The live map: every vehicle’s next stop, ETA and delay.

The job

What makes this work hard

  • Rush orders by phone, email and portal at the same time
  • Prices worked out by hand and argued over later
  • Customers calling to ask where the driver is
  • Late deliveries found out when the customer complains

A day on NemiRoute

How the day runs

A typical day for this kind of work, told through the product. Times are illustrative.

  1. 08:00

    Orders come in priced

Customers book in the portal or through the API. Each order is priced from your Same Day or Express 2-Hour price set as it is entered.

  2. 08:05

    Assigned from the board

The dispatcher picks a driver and vehicle from the order list; the driver gets a push notification.

  3. 10:20

    A delay, seen first

The live map shows a vehicle running late on its next stop. The dispatcher hands the remaining stops to another driver.

  4. 11:05

    Delivered with proof

The driver completes the stop with a signature and a photo near the address; the recipient gets the delivered email.
